Please read carefully before accepting.

Entitlement to Drive

• You must be of legal age to drive(17+ or 16 if you get or have applied for the enhanced rate of mobility component of Personal independent payment (PIP)).
• You need to have a valid UK/Northern Ireland provisional Category B photo card driving licence. If an older paper licence is held, then you must also produce a valid passport as photographic identification. For Pass Plus or refresher lessons, a full valid licence must be produced.
• It is your responsibility to ensure you are fit to drive.
• It is your responsibility to produce your licence at your first lesson. Failure to do so will result in your lesson being cancelled.  The full cost of the lesson will be charged if less than 24 hours notice is given.
• You must meet the minimum eye test requirements, which means you must be able to read a standard UK approved number plate at a minimum distance of 20.5 metres (67 feet). If you need to wear glasses or contact lenses in order to meet this requirement then you must wear them whenever you drive.
• You must notify me of any change of your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition, for example if your provisional licence has been revoked or for medical reasons such as epilepsy.
• If you are unfit to drive due to illness or are under the influence of drink or drugs, I reserve the right to terminate your lesson and the full lesson fee will be charged. 

Lessons, Cancelling and Rescheduling

• The duration of lessons are 100 minutes (Double lesson)
• If you wish to cancel or change the duration of a lesson, a minimum of 24 hours notice must be given. Failure to give 24 hours notice will the result in the lesson(s) being charged at the full rate.
• Lessons can be cancelled or changed by telephone, app message or text message and must be acknowledged by me.
• If I arrive on time at the pre-arranged pick up point and you do not show, I will wait 10 minutes. In that time I will attempt to contact you by phone and or text message.  If there is no contact made between you, I will leave after 10 minutes and the full lesson fee will be charged.
• I will contact you if I am running late due to traffic delays etc.
• I reserve the right to amend driving lessons if I am unable to keep the appointment in the event of pre-booked driving tests, mechanical breakdown, sickness, pre-booked holidays or due to immovable traffic.

Lesson Payments

• Lessons must be paid for in advance if paying online, or paying via the Total Drive app, payment must be made at least 48 HOURS before your lesson or by cash on the day. Failure to make payment in advance may result in your lesson being cancelled or reallocated to another student.
• Cheques are no longer accepted.
• Regardless of which offer is used for your automatic driving lessons a charge of £92 will apply on the test day which includes a 50-minute automatic driving lesson before the actual test.  This lesson must be paid before your test lesson starts.

Behaviour

• I will not tolerate any kind of verbal or physical abuse directed towards them, a driving examiner or any other road users.
• I reserve the right to terminate your lesson at any given stage if I am concerned about your behaviour, sobriety or state of mind. The full lesson fee will be charged.
• You must not be under the influence of drugs/alcohol during the training. In the event of there being any signs of drugs/alcohol misuse, I will withhold the use of the training vehicle for use of tuition or driving test until you are in a legal and fit state to drive. Any prescribed medication that may effect your driving should be declared to me and to the DVLA medical board.

Driving Test Readiness/Booking

• If you are not at the required standard to pass the driving test, I will advise a suitable date to reschedule your test.
• Before booking practical driving test, you must confirm that I am available and I agree your readiness to take the test and for use of the driving school vehicle.
• If you book your driving test without informing me, I cannot guarantee that I will be available. If I am not available, you will need to change the date.
• Should you fail to reach a satisfactory standard of driving and are likely to be a danger to other road users, or are in an unfit condition through substance or alcohol abuse as described above, I have a responsibility to the DVSA examiners not to allow the use of the training vehicle for the purpose of the driving test. This is in the interest of the pupil, the examiner and other road users and is a precautionary safety measure. Driving Vehicle Standards Agency guidelines do not allow for a pupil to take a practical test just for the experience.

Your Personal Data

• I (Liverpool Driving School) will only hold the personal information that you provide to us in accordance with the GDPR 2018 guidelines. We will not pass your data onto any other third parties. Your data maybe stored electronically or in paper form.  I will take every precaution to keep your data safe and secure.
• I may use the personal data that you voluntarily provide to me (including pass pictures, audio and dash cam videos) in our marketing literature, our websites and social media pages. In doing so, we will ensure that such uses are in accordance with professional standards. If you wish to opt out, please let me know.
